Harry de Vries (b. 1999) alienates the romances that we expect with the objects and materials that surround us. He searches through objects for the feelings of distant or nonexistent times and places, creating installations that collapse the present moment of space-time with the past, future, hyperlocal, and global. de Vries lives and works on what has always been and always will be Gadigal land, and acknowledges sovereignty remains unceded.
